How to Use InspectU in 3 Easy Steps
InspectU makes it simple to manage inspections from start to finish. In just three steps—Schedule, Review, and Report—you can stay organized, track progress, and keep your team aligned.
Step 1: Schedule an Inspection
To get started, create and assign an inspection from your dashboard.
- From the Dashboard, click Schedule Inspection under Quick Actions.
- Select your Organization and choose an Inspection Template.
- Enter an Inspection Name and set a Due Date.
- (Optional) Add Instructions or upload attachments.
- Click Next Step.
- Select the Site(s) where the inspection will take place.
- Assign the inspection to one or more Users.
- (Optional) Enable Recurring Inspection if needed.
- Click Next Step to finalize.
Your inspection is now scheduled and assigned.
Step 2: Review an Inspection
Once an inspection is submitted, it will be ready for review.
- Go to the Schedule tab.
- Find the inspection labeled Review Required and click to open it.
- Expand each section to review responses.
- Use Need Correction to flag any issues.
- At the bottom of each section, select a status:
- Approved – All responses are correct
- Error – Corrections are needed
- Clarification Needed – More details required
- Click Submit Step Check to save each section.
- After reviewing all sections, scroll down and choose:
- Approve Inspection to complete it
- Request a Review to send it back to the inspector
Step 3: Create a Report
After approval, you can generate a report instantly.
- Locate the approved inspection in your list (marked with an Approved badge).
- Click Create Report in the Actions column.
- You will be directed to the Insights page.
- Select your preferred report type:
- Detailed Report – Full breakdown of all responses
- Completion Report – Summary export (PDF or CSV)
- Click Create Report.
Your report will open immediately and is ready to download, print, or share.
