Assigning Audits to Your Team
In InspectU, audits can be assigned to specific team members so that the right person is completing the right check at the right time. Assigning audits removes ambiguity: everyone knows what they’re responsible for and when.
How to Assign an Audit
| 1 | Go to the Inspections section and select the audit template you want to assign. |
| 2 | Choose “Schedule” or “Assign” to set up the assignment. |
| 3 | Select the team member (or team) who should complete it. |
| 4 | Set the site or location where the audit applies. |
| 5 | Set the due date and, if recurring, the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly). |
| 6 | Save. The assigned team member will see the audit in their task queue. |
Best Practices for Audit Assignments
- Assign audits to the person closest to the work. A shift lead should run daily compliance checks. A site manager should handle weekly reviews.
- Use recurring schedules for audits that need to happen regularly. Don’t create them one at a time.
- Make sure the assigned person has access to the right site in InspectU. Permissions must match the assignment.
- Review incomplete or overdue audits weekly to identify where follow-up or support is needed.
Pro tip Start by assigning one recurring audit to each role on your team. Once the habit is established, add more. Overloading people with too many audits at once leads to low-quality completions. |
