Community Terms
Last Updated: March 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
These Community Terms ("Terms") govern your participation in InspectU's community features, including but not limited to shared templates, shared courses, forums, discussion boards, and any other collaborative or user-generated content features available through the InspectU platform (collectively, the "Community Features").
These Terms supplement the InspectU Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Privacy Policy. By participating in the Community Features, you agree to be bound by these Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall prevail.
2. User Conduct Standards
When using the Community Features, you agree to:
- Communicate in a respectful, professional, and constructive manner at all times.
- Not engage in harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discriminatory language or behavior, including language or behavior targeting race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Not post spam, unsolicited advertisements, or commercial solicitations unrelated to the platform's intended purpose.
- Not share confidential, proprietary, or trade secret information belonging to your employer, clients, or any third party.
- Not impersonate any person, organization, or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person, organization, or entity.
- Not engage in any conduct that would be considered disruptive, offensive, or inappropriate in a professional setting.
3. Content Guidelines
All content shared through the Community Features must:
- Be accurate, truthful, and not intentionally misleading.
- Not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including but not limited to food safety regulations, workplace safety standards, and data protection laws.
- Not contain malicious code, scripts, or any material designed to disrupt, damage, or interfere with the Platform or other users' systems.
- Be appropriate for a professional and workplace-oriented community.
- Not contain personally identifiable information of third parties without their consent.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Ownership
You retain ownership of all content that you create and share through the Community Features ("Your Content"). InspectU does not claim ownership of Your Content.
4.2 License Grant
By sharing content through the Community Features, you grant InspectU and other Platform users a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt Your Content within the Platform for the purposes of operating and improving the Community Features and the Platform.
This license survives termination of your account to the extent that Your Content has been incorporated into or relied upon by other users' content or workflows. However, upon request, InspectU will make commercially reasonable efforts to remove Your Content from active display.
4.3 Content Removal
InspectU retains the right to remove, edit, or disable access to any content that violates these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, or InspectU's internal content standards, at InspectU's sole discretion.
5. Content Moderation
InspectU may review and moderate content shared through the Community Features, including:
- Automated screening for prohibited content, malicious code, and policy violations.
- Manual review of flagged or reported content by InspectU's moderation team.
- Periodic audits of Community Features content for quality and compliance.
Content may be removed without prior notice if it violates these Terms or poses a risk to the Platform or its users. InspectU will make reasonable efforts to notify the content creator after removal, except where doing so would be inappropriate (e.g., illegal content).
Users may report inappropriate, inaccurate, or harmful content via [REPORTING MECHANISM — e.g., in-app report button, email to support@inspectupro.com].
6. Disclaimer
COMMUNITY CONTENT IS USER-GENERATED AND IS NOT CREATED, ENDORSED, VERIFIED, OR GUARANTEED BY INSPECTU. InspectU does not verify the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any content shared through the Community Features.
Users rely on community content at their own risk. InspectU shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from reliance on community content, including but not limited to inaccurate inspection templates, outdated compliance checklists, or misleading training materials.
Users are encouraged to independently verify community content before relying on it for compliance, regulatory, or legal purposes.
7. Enforcement
InspectU enforces these Terms through a progressive disciplinary approach:
| Violation Level | Consequence |
| First Violation | Warning: Written notice of the violation, explanation of the applicable policy, and guidance on expected behavior. |
| Second Violation | Temporary Restriction: Suspension of Community Features access for a defined period (typically 7 to 30 days), depending on severity. |
| Third Violation | Permanent Removal: Permanent revocation of access to all Community Features. The user's existing shared content may also be removed. |
| Severe Violations | Immediate Permanent Removal: For violations involving illegal content, threats of violence, harassment, distribution of malware, or other severe misconduct — immediate and permanent removal from Community Features without prior warning. Additional actions, including account termination and legal referral, may apply. |
InspectU reserves the right to deviate from the progressive approach where the severity or nature of the violation warrants immediate escalation.
8. Appeals Process
If you believe that an enforcement action was taken in error or is disproportionate, you may submit an appeal:
- Appeals must be submitted in writing to appeal@inspectupro.com within 14 calendar days of the enforcement action.
- The appeal must include a description of the enforcement action, the reasons you believe it was in error, and any supporting information or evidence.
- InspectU will review the appeal and respond within 15 business days.
- Appeals will be reviewed by a member of the InspectU team who was not involved in the original enforcement decision.
- The appeal decision is final.
9. Changes to Community Terms
InspectU reserves the right to modify these Community Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users through in-platform notifications, email to account administrators, or posting on the InspectU website.
Continued participation in the Community Features after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the Community Features.
